Track 3 – Dance Hall in Space (The Prodigy influence)

This track was influenced by The Prodigy, particularly Out of Space, with the aim of exploring breakbeat-driven energy within a dub-influenced framework. The track incorporates resampled reggae vocals from Johnny P’s Him Bow and Powerman’s Run Dem, reinforcing the connection to Jamaican sound system culture. This approach mirrors The Prodigy’s own use of reggae sampling, most notably in Out of Space, which reworks elements of Chase the Devil by Max Romeo. Through this process, I explored how reggae vocal sampling and breakbeat structures can be combined to create an energetic track that links to dub-based production practices.
